The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall very good condition. Some slight rubbing and wear to the gilding and enamels throughout as to be expected with use.
The breakfast-cups and saucers - One cup with a 3 cm. hairline crack running down from the upper rim, the others in good order. One saucer with a star-shaped hairline crack to the centre, the others in good order.
The coffee-cups and saucers - In good order.
The sugar-bowl and cover - The handle to the cover broken through and repaired with staples at one end. The rest in good order.
The waste-bowl - With a star-shaped glaze crack to the underside. Otherwise in good order.
The milk-jug - In good order.
The plates - One example broken out in three places and restored with a small associated loss to the rim, and repaired with staples, and a further flat chip to the rim. Some of the other plates with extensive wear to the gilt rim.
