The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Marks a little worn, as to be expected with age and use, particularly the makers' mark on each.
Very slight mishaping overall. Minor indentations and surface scratches.
The turned mahogany bases are water stained and a little warped, the undersides with traces of felt bases and now inset with a cork disc to the centre. The later metal liners all formerly with small ring handles, only one remaining.
