The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The smaller one with clear marks, the handle and thumbpiece junctions resoldered. Bruising to the foot with hairline split at junction of footrim to domed part. Small split on the opposite side. Cover slightly loose on the hinge. Wear to original gilding.
The larger one with marks legible, town mark slightly indictinct on base and obscured on cover with later solder repair to thumpiece junction, handle junctions resoldered, finial resoldered, some regilding, initials erased from underside of base. Solder repair in two places to junction of footrim to domed section of the foot. Inside regilded with textured finish.
