The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- All have expected natural fissures, inclusions in the stone, tiny nicks to the extremities, small areas of polishing and light surface wear
- The smallest has a small surface chip to the edge of the button, and the end of the hook has been slightly polished
- On another hook, the body of the chilong has been highly polished, there is a small chip to the tip of the hook and there is a tiny opaque white bruise to one edge on the side.
- On the other two hooks the buttons have been polished
