A GILT-LACQUERED BRONZE FIGURE OF A BUDDHA
SONG/EARLY MING DYNASTY, 13TH/14TH CENTURY
The figure is cast seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with hands together holding a stack of books. He wears a simple robe over one shoulder and his calm face is framed by tightly curled hair. The back is incised with an inscription dizi Luo Guichu feng (present with respect by disciple Luo Guichu).
