TWO LONGQUAN DISHES
MING DYNASTY, 16TH/17TH CENTURY
The first is a circular dish incised on the interior with a stylized, leafy blossom. It is covered in a thick, viscose celadon glaze. The unglazed foot rim is burnt brown on the underside. The second dish has a barbed rim and is molded and incised with simple floral sprays. The thick glaze is a pale celadon green color. The unglazed base is burnt orange.
