Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is inspected without a frame; canvas and stretcher are in good condition. There is a faint rubbing mark running along the lower right extreme margin, measuring approx. 19cm. Light surface abrasion with associated pinpoint paint loss located at the bottom two corners of the painting. A faint line is visible near the lower left quadrant, measuring approx. 6cm. When examined under UV light, no retouching is apparent. Overall, it is in our opinion that the work is in good condition.
