The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par du papier adhésif le long des bords au revers de l’ouverture du passe-partout. Le médium n’est pas fixé. Léger frottement du fusain. Des irrégularités de surface inhérentes au papier. De très petites et mineures irrégularités sur les deux angles supérieurs dues au passe-partout. Le médium est vif sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît être en bonne condition générale.

This work is sold framed. Charcoal, white chalk and sanguine on wove paper. The reverse of the sheet is taped along the edges to the reverse of the window mount. The medium is not fixed. Some minor rubbing of the charcoal. Some irregularities to the surface are inherent to the paper. Some very minor unevenness to the two upper corners due to the window mount. The medium is strong throughout. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
