The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue entry:
- the full sheet
- in a raking light there is some unobtrusive and very soft 'polishing' marks on the surface in places (not visible in normal lighting)
- the sheet fixed to a mount at the sheet corners on the reverse (it is not possible to see if it is tightly hinged or tipped with glue, but there is nothing showing through to the front), the reverse therefore not fully examined
