The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet
- the work presents well in normal lighting, but in a raking light there are several flattened vertical creases across the sheet
- some faint 'wiping' marks in the black (as is fairly common)
- some very faint and unobtrusive surface dirt in places
- on the reverse, circular marks at the corners, probably associated with old blu-tack
