The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description, the full sheets, the colors attenuated, soft handling creases at the sheet edges, each hinged on the reverse upper sheet edge (slightly showing through in the upper margin), framed

(LAURUS NOBILIS): a pinpoint brown accretion in the lower left unprinted area of the sheet
(FAGUS SILVATICA): a minor handling crease at the lower right sheet corner
(CASTANEA SATIVA): a pinpoint brown accretion in the upper center of the printed area, a pale brown discoloration in the upper left sheet
