Each of these three prints was published in commemoration of the one-hundredth anniversary of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and were commissioned by the museum. The quotations that appear at the bottom of each were drawn from Albers's Search versus Re-Search (1969) lecture series and were included at the suggestion of the museum's director, Thomas Hoving.

MMA Pillars: screenprint in colors, on Arches paper, 1970, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 21/100 (there were also fifteen artist's proofs), published by Ives-Sillman, Inc., New Haven, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, with the publisher's blindstamp, with full margins, the red slightly attenuated, light-staining, minor pale discoloration at the upper and left sheet edges, otherwise in generally good condition, framed Image: 111⁄2 x 101⁄4 in. (292 x 260 mm.) Sheet: 191⁄4 x 175⁄8 in. (489 x 448 mm.)
MMA-1: screenprint in colors, on Arches paper, 1970, signed, titled and dated in pencil, numbered 21/100 (there were also fourteen artist's proofs), published by Ives-Sillman, Inc., New Haven, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, with the publisher's blindstamp, with full margins, pale time staining, hinged on the reverse sheet corners (slightly showing through), otherwise in generally good condition, framed Image: 15 x 15 in. (381 x 381 mm.) Sheet: 243⁄8 x 243⁄8 in. (619 x 619 mm.)
MMA-3 Variant: screenprint in colors, on Arches paper, 1970, signed, titled and dated in pencil, numbered 21/100 (there were also thirteen artist's proofs), published by Ives-Sillman, Inc., New Haven, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, with the publisher's blindstamp, with full margins, pale light- and time staining, two areas of pale discoloration at the upper sheet edge, othewise in generally good condition, framed Image: 171⁄8 x 191⁄4 in. (435 x 489 mm.) Sheet: 243⁄4 x 267⁄8 in. (629 x 683 mm.)
