The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this lot acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is some surface wear including slight rubbing, consistent with age and use.
- A few tiny losses of kirikane.
- A small loss of lacquer at the opening of the himotoshi on the top case.
- The interiors with some light surface wear including rubbing to lacquer, consistent with age and use. The inner rim of one case with an old chip at one side.
- The netsuke with some slight surface wear.
