We have sought to record changes in the condition of this lot acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is some surface wear overall including scratches, fading, the corners and edges with some restored and unrestored chips, and oxidation of foils.
- The inlaid eyes with some slight cracks.
- The interiors with some rubbing to rims and wear to gyobu-nashiji.
- The base with some scratches, consistent with being placed. Two old paper labels to base.
- The knife no longer slides into its hilt due to shrinkage and the cover of the brush with two splits.
