Overall very good condition consistent with age and sensitive use. When viewed in person the shade presents with a more brilliant and vivid color palette than in the catalogue illustration. Cracks are minimal and noticeable only under close inspection. The base presents handsomely. Recessed areas have a dark patina, contrasting beautifully with the overall gilt patina. The arms, sockets, and edging around the lower portion of the base with evidence of oxidation. This is not visually distracting to the overall appearance. Typical signs of light rubbing and wear, primarily around the platform, which is to be expected from a century of gentle handling. The faceted blue and green glass cabochons appear to be original and give the lamp an added sparkle. The riser appears to be original to the base but exhibits a darker patina than the other elements. The heat cap conforms to the model and appears to be original. The base has been rewired at one time.
