All volumes except 1890 have the portrait plate. 1890, 1892, 1895-1896 and 1898-1899 lack the advertisements and are without wrappers.

1890: lacks the plate, title rehinged with partial loss of inner line border.
1893: lacks all text before p. xix as well as the rear advertisements.
1891: wrappers rather rubbed, front wrapper with ownership signature (Cliff Davies) at head, corner piece torn from rear wrapper.
1892: slight spotting to plate mount, p. 3 with repaired tear into text, marginal ink stain on pp. 214-215.
1894: signature at head of title (Cliff Davies), title slightly soiled, adhesive tape repair to p. xiii.
1895: plate mount slightly worn at corner.
1896: plate mount slightly shaved.
1897: front wrapper lightly soiled, two signatures at head (Somner Fisher; Cliff Davies) and large numeral penned at foot, rear wrapper with some edge wear.
1899: inner title border concealed by adjacent blank.
