1930-31: both with some corner creasing to preliminaries, 1930 with front pastedown detached and crease mark in front wrapper, 1931 with small abrasion mark to wrapper.
1932: edge tears to front wrapper.
1933-35: front wrappers strengthened at inner hinge.
1934: front wrapper slightly waterstained on verso.
1934: a little corner creasing at start, edge tears to back wrapper, rear pastedown detached, upper joints slightly rubbed.

Some original covers have a degree of soiling. In some volumes the rectangular rule on the covers is concealed on the inner side by the adjacent free endpaper.
