Details
The present bamboo carving of a frog was in the Wang Shixiang Collection and was one of his most prized possessions. It was included in his bamboo collection catalogue Zhuke jianshang, Taipei, 1997, p. 64, no. 17, in which he said “Of all the bamboo root carvings of frogs that I have seen, none surpasses this.”
