The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-There is some pitting and minor losses to the enamels as can be expected, especially to the corners; and some losses infilled.
-There are some very minor repairs to the gilt-metal.
-The enamel surface appears to have been covered in a transparent lacquer.
-The lanterns have been fitted with later electronic wires and light bulbs. Each of the lantern with its four panels missing.
