Lao Tianbi, courtesy name Mo Zhai, was the master of Zaishantang Studio. Lao was a famous poet and collector in Hong Kong. He served as a professor at the Guangdong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a physician at the Guangdong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Lao came to Hong Kong in 1951 and subsequently published Zaishantang Poems and helped to compile Paintings and Calligraphy of Ming Loyalists from the Chih Lo Lou Collection.
