The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of the frame. The sheet appears to be hinged in places along the reverse to the underlying mount. The sheet undulates slightly. There are artist's pinholes in all four corners. The edges are unevenly cut. There are craquelures in places, predominantly to the impasto, with some associated minor losses. There is some surface dust. There is a vertical fold along the entire height of the sheet, coherent with the material used. There is some minor wear and tear to the lower and upper horizontal edge, coherent with the artist's working process. Examination under ultra violet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
