The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is some soft surface soiling. There is a soft pattern of craquelures along the upper edge and in the lower area. When examined under ultraviolet light, there are some retouches visible in the lower corners and along the lower edge. There are also some retouches visible in places to the frame. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
