Lot Essay

Chua Lam studied in Japan in his early years, and later worked as a film producer in Hong Kong. He studied calligraphy and seal carving under Feng Kanghou (1901-1983). He is a writer, and published more than one hundred essays and hosted gourmet shows as a famous Hong Kong critic. As early as the 1970s and 1980s, he and Jin Yong (Louis Cha, 1924-2018), Ni Kuang (b. 1935), Huang Zhan (James Wong Jim, 1941-2004) were hailed as the "Four Talents of Hong Kong".
