NOTE:
Lin Daorong (1640–1708), given name Yingcai, courtesy name Kuanyun and known by the sobriquet ‘Mochi Laoren’ (‘Old Devotee of Ink’), was the eldest son of Lin Shiliang (1598–1683). Born in Nagasaki, Japan, he came from a family of physicians and was also accomplished in calligraphy.
