Lot Essay

Marina Pang was born in Hong Kong in 1936 and received her bachelor and postgraduate diploma from USA and UK. Marina had a great passion for painting since young, she sought teaching and guidance from renowned painting masters, including Huang Junbi, Zhao Shao’ang, He Baili, Song Yugui as well as calligrapher Ou Da-wei. She has been active in the Hong Kong art circle for a few decades and held solo exhibitions at the City Hall (1994), the University Museum and Gallery at HKU, the Hong Kong Club (2019) and Hong Kong Central Library (2019). Her paintings were selected for Hong Kong Art Biennial in the years 1989, 1998, 2001, 2005 and 2012.
