The collector of the work is an award-winning television producer who visited Hong Kong to produce a programme about the local art scene in April 2004, which featured Rao Zongyi. After the shoot, the artist signed and sealed this calligraphy for him as a gift. It has remained in the same collection since.
Acquired directly from the artist by the present owner in 2004.
