In addition to or in elaboration of the lot description:
- two tiny surface abrasions on the arm of the skeleton, just below the tip of the Harpy's wing.
- the sheet edges severely stained, particularly noticeable at the right sheet edge, where previously taped down verso.
- a 10 mm. tear at the right sheet edge.
- the upper right tip of the sheet corner partially broken, a short tear next to it.
- backboard staining on the reverse.
- tape stains along the sheet edges verso.
- remains of adhesive tape in places at the sheet edges verso.
Otherwise as described in the lot description.
A paper conservator has confirmed to us that the condition, in particular the staining along the sheet edges, could be much improved.
