A FRAGMENT OF L’AIGLE METEORITE
FELL IN FRANCE, 26 APRIL 1803
This fragment features two large patches of fusion crust as well as the more earthly imprint of cataloguing: a green dot with the number “11” and two strips of lightly stained paper adhered to the fractured face “Meteorolite from Aigle with part of its fusion crust” and “L.16797.” -- with a British Museum of Natural History Catalog Card stating "BM 1985, M.97 L'Aigle 113.5g"
