ENDPIECE OF THE GUJBA METEORITE
FELL IN NIGERIA, APRIL 3, 1984; MODERN CUTTING
A wonderful example of the most-pristine Bencubbinite known. There is no other meteorite that looks like Gujba. The metal and silicate nodules are thought to have condensed and quenched in an impact plume formed after a giant collision on a chondritic asteroid. The dimpling and crenellations on the reverse only hint at the singular structure to be revealed after cutting.
