LARGE COMPLETE SLICE OF SEYMCHAN METEORITE
DISCOVERED IN RUSSIA, 1967; MODERN CUTTING
This massive complete slice originates from a huge meteorite shower that occurred in what later became the Magadan District of Siberia, the locality of Stalin’s infamous gulags. Seymchan meteorites are unusually resistant to oxidation. Delimited by a rim of meteorite’s exterior surface, this is a choice display of Seymchan’s gleaming crystalline fingerprint—a pattern that can only originate in unearthly origins.
