The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas, lightly squared for transfer. Examined in the frame. The canvas is slightly undulated in the upper left corner. On close inspection there are a few fine surface scratches, as seen in the upper right corner, and a few tiny scattered spots of abrasion. Examined under ultraviolet light there are a few soft spots of fluorescence, which appear to be consistent with an old varnish. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
