The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This small copper panel is even and remains structurally stable. Small isolated losses can be seen in the centre right with some surface abrasion to the varnish. Ultraviolent examination reveals more recent restoration to the contours of Christ’s face in the brown tones, as well as to the low lights of the other figures, and minor isolated scattered restoration in the landscape. The artist’s painterly technique remains highly appreciable.
