The canvas has been relatively recently relined, maintains a good tension and remains structurally stable. On very close inspection, it is possible to see a degree of light abrasion, [for example, to the sky, to the water] some of which is strengthened with retouching. UV light inspection reveals small scattered retouching to the thinned paint and some larger area of retouching possibly associated with a damage to the sky.
