The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Pencil on paper. Examined out of the frame. The sheet is presented in a window mount and is hinged in two places at the reverse extreme upper edge. The sheet edges are uneven and there are fine creases to the sheet, predominently in the centre of the composition, consistent with the artist's working method. On very close inspection, some small losses to the upper right quadrant and right edge, and one further tiny loss in the centre of the sheet. There is one small tear measuring approximately 8 mm. to the centre right, in the trunk of the tree. There are artist's pinholes in three of the sheet corners, which have some foxing. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
