Lot Essay

Nattes exhibited topographical subjects at the Royal Academy from 1781 until 1814, including (in the earlier years) numerous Italian and Swiss scenes. His views of Scotland, Ireland, the West Country and the environs of Paris were engraved for several publications in the first decade of the 19th Century.
