The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is backed with Japan paper, and tipped into a supporting sheet, which is then hinged into a non-acidic mount. There has been some fading to the more delicate pigments, but it reads well and could be hung without further attention.
