Decorated in gold, silver and red takamaki-e on a transparent brown lacquer ground, revealing the grain of the cedar-wood beneath, with Buddhist objects comprising fly whisk, censer and rosary inlaid with malachite and mother-of-pearl, interiors and risers unlacquered, fundame rims, with a cloisonné enamelled ojime
