拍品专文

Three generations of Einsteins.

The photographs with Hans Albert show grandfather, son and grandson during what was to be their last summer in Einstein's beloved country retreat in Caputh, outside Berlin. Bernhard Einstein (1930-2008) was the only one of Einstein's three known biological grandchildren to survive childhood: like his grandfather, he studied physics at the Zurich Polytechnic, and he pursued a career in the applied sciences in the USA and Switzerland.
