'There can be absolutely no question of driving out the Arabs from their land'.

On the future of Jewish settlement in Palestine: 'Without understanding and cooperation with the Arabs it won't work. My article ('The Jews in Palestine', published in the Manchester Guardian) held good for the present moment, but not for the broader concern. There can be absolutely no question of driving out the Arabs from their land. The country is indeed sparsely populated for its potential'.
