Travel plans: returning from Italy through Switzerland.

Einstein hopes to be able to meet up with Besso during his journey through Switzerland: 'I arrive in Zurich on Saturday (29th) and must travel onwards on the 2nd, so as to be in Leiden on the 4th. Send a suggestion to Miza's address [i.e. Mileva Einstein] about how we can meet. My boys won't be happy to let me leave; could you perhaps come to Zurich?'.

It is apparent from this postcard that Einstein's relations with his first wife, Mileva, had regained a degree of cordiality some two years after their divorce.
