The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Surface dirt present. The stone with natural colorations and inclusions with even subtle patinatoin. There is a joint under the star in the wand made of plaster. A spot of infill on the outside of the proper right hand.
The pedestal constructed in three sections and associated as noted in catalogue entry. Overall with surface dirt and minor nicks and chips and small areas of fill. The stone with natural inclusions and colorations. The base piece with white paint deposits on one side of the hexagon and small chips around the edge. In the lower bowl, a side with a crack and an area of dark fill. In the upper portion of the bowl, (to the right of the hexagon side with paint) a chipped loss with partial reattachment. The center column with a three inch chip reattached and a crack on the far side about two inches high. In the fluted portion, minor chips and dark and white areas of fill associated with a reattachment. At the upper edge, reattachment visible from across the top and onto the side, associated losses at the upper lip, about five and a half inches long, and a reattachment about three inches wide. The top of the pedestal with a reinforced central crack with associated repairs at each end. On the upper lip, a three inch wide reattachment, a crack and approximately one inch chip.
