The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sculpture is in good overall condition. There is surface dirt present and it would benefit from a light cleaning. The stone has natural inclusions and colorations. Minor nicks and nibbles present. On the top of the head, a three and a half inch line of infill. On the proper right thigh, a spot infill. On the proper left leg, a scuff on the shin and a crack from the shin up through the book which shows repair only on the shin. In the drapery under the left hand, an area of infill, possibly original to the sculpting. A thin crack from the middle back down through the stool, showing signs of infill in the lower portion. On the left eyelid, infill possibly original to the creation and a possible repair of a crack from the left eye to the nose.
