The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The surface is stable and clean. The canvas is glue relined. There is minor scuffing at the extreme lower and left edge due to frame abrasion. Under UV light inspection there is retouching at the extreme edges. There are carefully applied dashes and lines of retouching sparsely applied along the top edge at right, trees at left, at the base of the crown of the center tree and in the ground. There is a two inch line of retouching in the ground above and left of the rocks at right and a one inch area of clustered dashes of retouching in the sky left of the center tree trunk just above the horizon.
