The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is lined. There is faint frame abrasion at the extreme edges. There are a few thin lines of craquelure visible in areas of thicker impasto, such as the moon and clouds. Upon inspection under UV light, there are a few small dots inpainting at edges and in the sky. There is a small spot of inpainting above the Doge's Palace. There are a few small dashes inpainting on the boat at lower right and a few small lines of inpainting on the steps which lead to the water at lower right.
