The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The surface is stable and the canvas is glue re-lined. There is an even layer of varnish. Under UV light inspection there is retouching at the extreme edges to address frame abrasion. In the dog at left there are a few small areas of retouching and a small area of retouching in the ground beneath the dog. In the straw beneath the upper dog there is a small area of retouching to address paint separation.
