The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The surface is stable. The canvas has been glue relined. There is minor scuffing at the extreme edges. Under UV light inspection, there are a few dots of retouching at the extreme edges. There are a few dots of retouching in her neck and chest and one in drapery on the front of her proper left shoulder. There is a spot of retouching on her chin and there are small spots and lines in the background above her head. At the top of her hair is a small area of retouching. There is retouching in the upper right (not on the signature) and lower left corner.
