The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The surface is stable and the canvas has been wax relined. There is light surface dirt present. Thin even cracquelure has developed in most areas. There is scuffing at the extreme edges. There is a vertical scuff in the foreground between the rock and tree at center left down to the lower edge. Under UV light inspection, there is retouching at the upper corners to address frame abrasion. There are two small areas of retouching in the foreground at center. There is retouching in the clouds.
