Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (1828-1910)
A postcard to Cuba. 1908
Picture postcard signed ('Léon Tolstoy'), n.p., n.d. [postmarked 5 ?October 1908].

The postcard depicting a young girl (perhaps the recipient) with flowers. Signed on the image. Addressed (in another hand) to 'Miss Piedad Gonzalez / Rue Aleman 37 / Santa Clara / Cuba'. Postal markings (including 'Due 4 cents'). Provenance: RR Auction, 13 July 2016, lot 846.

A postcard to Cuba. Piedad Gonzalez apparently sent this photograph of herself to Tolstoy for signature – though the writer appears to have forgotten to attach a stamp when returning it.
