Autograph note signed (‘Iv. Bun.’) to Nikolay Roshchin, added to the upper margin of an autograph letter signed by Vera Bunina to the same, n.p., 24 January n.y.

In Russian. Bunin's note 6 lines on one page, 278 x 226mm.

Travel plans, perhaps to the United States. Bunin writes that Galina sends her greetings and asks Roshchin to forget about Savchenko, as she has had a letter from him. Vera Bunina's letter gives an insight into their household in Grasse: 'The lass [i.e. Galina] is gluing reviews, Yan [i.e. Bunin] is reading something, and I have taken up writing to you at my leisure'; she is also sorting through their affairs, 'destroying a lot'. She announces their impending departure, 'but where we will go is not yet decided: to the United States, to Corsica, to Biarritz, to Dijon or Paris.
