A new address in Sorrento 'for a long time'. Gorky sends his new address at the Hotel Cappucini in Sorrento, noting 'This is for a long time'; he asks Kaplun to send proofs of the 4th issue of their journal, Beseda, '5 copies, please! Come here to rest'.

Gorky had moved to Sorrento in April 1924, renewing an acquaintance with the Bay of Naples which dated back to his residence in Capri from 1906 to 1913; Sorrento was to be his home until 1933. Solomon Kaplun (1891-1940) was a journalist, critic and a publisher, based in Berlin from 1922: he collaborated with Gorky in founding the literary journal Beseda (Conversation) in 1923.
